Visit the spiritual city of Lhasa, marvel at the architectural wonder: Potala Palace, see stunning turquoise Yamdrok Lake in Tibet, immerse in colourful Tibetan culture, feast your eyes on the spectacular landscape of Qinghai's plateaus on the world’s highest Tibet-Qinghai train to Xian. Witness Terracotta Warriors and walk the Great Wall of China in Beijing.

Day 1 - 2 Lhasa

Arrive Lhasa, the spiritual centre of Tibet, transfer to your hotel. The rest of day is free to relax and acclimate to the high altitude. The next day visit Tibet's holiest shrine of Jokhang Temple to see a solid gold enlightened Buddha and feel the electric atmosphere, immerse yourself into Tibetan culture while wandering through the bustling Barkor Circuit. Afternoon tour of the architectural wonder of Potala Palace, towering 13 stories high and contains thousands of rooms. Enjoy a Tibetan dinner. (2B/D)

Day 3 Lhasa

Walk around the beautiful gardens of Norbulingka Park, which was the Summer Palace of Dalai Lamas, visit historical important Drepung Monastery, built in the 15th century. Interestingly observe student monks debating with their masters at Sera Monastery. Explore the Tibetan Quarter. (B)

Day 4 Yamdrok Lake

Today you will see the unique natural scenery and wildness of high plateau and mountains while driving to Tibet’s holy Yamdrok Lake – a sparkling turquoise lake flanked by snow-capped peaks, see local nomad camps, herds of yaks and sheep and beautiful mountainous scenery along the way. En route visit a local family to share a steaming cup of yak butter tea. Return to Lhasa. (B)

Day 5 - 6 Lhasa / Xian (Qinghai Tibet Railway)

Morning transfer to the railway station for a soft sleeper overnight train to Xi’an. Experience Lifetime journey on the world’s highest railway across the Tibetan Plateau and enjoy spectacular natural scenery of Qinghai plateaus. Arrive Xian in the evening, transfer to your hotel. (B)

Day 7 Xian

Witness the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, where you will find 7000 individually crafted clay soldiers standing on guard. You will get a chance to learn how to make these warriors at a workshop. Explore the Old Muslim Quarter and Old Mosque, home to a large Chinese Muslim population and traditional Chinese architecture with Middle Eastern influences. take a stroll (or even a bike ride at your own cost) on the original City Wall. Taste authentic local specialty dumpling for dinner before enjoying the extraordinary Tang Dynasty culture show. (B/D)

Day 8 Xian / Beijing

See the intricately carved murals and feel the Buddhists chanting at Big Wild Goose Pagoda, enjoy Asia's largest musical water fountain at the square of the Pagoda (12:30am), high speed train to Beijing. (B)

Day 9 Beijing

Today visit the Temple of Heaven, mingle with locals at its neighbouring park. Leisurely walk around at Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest square, and then visit the Forbidden City, China’s most glorious imperial palace. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the zigzag alleyways called Hutong to catch a glimpse into traditional Beijing life. Enjoy the famous Peking duck dinner and amazing acrobatic show. (B/D)

Day 10 Great Wall

Walk the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu section! Take a cable car up to one of the many watchtowers to view the winding wall as it rise and fall over mountains into the distance, walk your way down. See stone carved animals and officers along the Sacred way, which leads to the Ming Tomb. Visit a Jade factory to see ancient craftsmanship. (B)

Day 11 - 12 Beijing

Spend a free day to do bargain shopping at the Silk Market or take an optional tour of the Summer Palace to see the lavishly decorated temples, halls, courts, and the Long Corridor, enjoy a relaxing Dragon boat ride. The next day there is free time to explore before transfer to airport. (2B)
