14 Days: Guilin / Kunming / Dali / Lijiang / Xian / Beijing

This is a breathtaking Scenic China Tour. Travel from the beautiful Guilin with a cruise along the picturesque Li River and admire Longsheng’s incredible ancient rice terraces to Yunnan province, a home of China's ethnically diverse minority peoples, UNESCO-listed Lijiang ancient town, the awesome Tiger Leaping Gorge and the natural beauty of Shangri-la. Witness the world’s famous Terracotta Warriors before ending your China tour in the historically rich capital of Beijing.

Day 1-2 Guilin

Upon arrival Guilin, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The next day, head to the beautiful rural countryside - Longsheng to see incredible ancient rice terraces. Wander through little stone pathways and ethnic minority people villages. Walk up the mountain to take in the gorgeous view of rice terraces. Sample the local specialty dinner. (B/D)

Day 3 Li River Cruise

Enjoy a spectacular Li River cruise, which passes bizarre-shaped mountains, villages and water buffaloes and fishing cormorants. Disembark at the traditional country town of Yangshuo, admire the stunning rural scenery and explore the local market before return to Guilin. (B/L)

Day 4 Guilin / Kunming

Visit the Palace of Natural Art - Reed Flute Cave, where you will be surprised by colourful lights to highlight the stalactites inside of caves, drive pass the beautiful Elephant Trunk Hill on the way to the airport for your flight to Kunming. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. (B)

Day 5 Stone Forest

Visit one of China’s natural wonders – the Stone Forest, where you will see bizarrely shaped limestone cliffs and peaks, Enjoy the chair-lift riding up to the Dragon Gate on the top of Xishan, you will have a panoramic view of the Lake and Kunming city. Stroll along the picturesque Green Lake and observe locals’ leisure life. For your dinner, sample the local famous dish - "Cross Bridge" noodle soup. (B/D)

Day 6 Dali

Fly to Dali, the home to the Bai ethnic group. It sits on the shores of Erhai Lake surrounded by spectacular mountain. Upon arrival, transfer to the hotel, spend a free afternoon to wander around the tree lined streets at peaceful Old Town, discover interesting shops, drop in at a Catholic church. (B)

Day 7 Lijiang

Visit the famous Three Pagodas, get your camera ready for the beautiful views, Take a morning visit to the local vegetable market. Enjoy a boat cruise on Erhai Lake and watch cormorants fishing. Drive through the scenic countryside to the enchanting town of Lijiang. Afternoon free time at Dayan Ancient Town to explore ornately carved wooden buildings, teahouses and cobbled streets interspersed with mini canals and streams. Sample a local speciality dinner at a courtyard family restaurant. (B/D)

Day 8 Tiger Leaping Gorge

Morning take a scenic drive to the world’s deepest gorge - Tiger Leaping Gorge, photo stop to see the first Bend of Yangtze River. Afternoon wander around the Black Dragon Pool Park for a spectacular view of Jade Dragon Mountain and visit Wangu building, made of pure wood, on top of Lion Hill with gorgeous views over the town. Stroll through Naxi people village and see the collection of unique artistic style and historic murals in the village, have a dinner at a family courtyard restaurant. (B/D)

Day 9 Xian

After a flight to Xian, take a stroll (or a bike ride at your own cost) on the original City Wall, the most complete city wall that has survived through history and is also one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. See the intricately carved murals and feel the Buddhists chanting at Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Taste authentic local specialty dumpling for dinner before enjoying the extraordinary Tang Dynasty culture show. (B/D)

Day 10 Terracotta Warriors

Visit the historically significant archaeological excavations of the 20th century, the Terracotta Warriors and Horses, where you will find 7000 individually crafted clay soldiers standing on guard. You will get a chance to learn how to make these warriors at a workshop on your holiday in China. Experience a high speed train to Beijing. (B)

Day 11 Beijing

Today visit the Temple of Heaven, mingle with locals at its neighbouring park. Leisurely walk through Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest square to the Forbidden City, China’s most glorious imperial palace. Bargain shopping at the culture street - Dashila. Sample the famous Peking duck dinner and amazing Kung Fu show, featuring a fusion of modern musical with Chinese traditional martial arts! (B/D)

Day 12 - Great Wall

One of highlights during your tour of China, Walk the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu section! Take a cable car up to one of the many watchtowers to view the winding wall as it rise and fall over mountains into the distance, walk your way down. Photo stop at Olympic site to see China's mordern architetures. (B)

Day 13-14 Beijing

Visit traditional courtyard mansion of Prince Kung, followed by a scenic walk along the side streets to the lake. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the zigzag alleyways called Hutong to catch a glimpse into traditional Beijing life. In the afternoon, head off the former imperial summer resort - the Summer Palace to see the lavishly decorated temples, halls, courts, and the Long Corridor, enjoy a relaxing Dragon boat ride. Your china tour ends with a hotel/airport transfer on day 14. (B)
