Day 1 - 2 Paro / Thimphu
Arrive in Paro, drive through the beautiful Paro Valley to your hotel at the
capital city of Thimpu. The next day starts with a fascinating walking tour
of the Memorial Chorten. See the world’s largest book at the National
Library, visit the spectacular Tashi Cho Dzong fortress, and learn Bhutanese
traditions and culture at the Folk Heritage Museum. Visit the nursery pen for
the Takin - the national animal of Bhutan. (1B/1L/1D)

Day 3 Punakha
Take a picturesque drive to the former capital city of Punakha, stop at Dochu
La Pass and enjoy spectacular views of the rugged Eastern Himalayas. Visit
the impressive Punakha Dzong, which is located at the confluence of two
rivers. Leisurely trek to the temple of Divine Madman. (1B/1L/1D)

Day 4 Punakha / Paro
In the morning, drive to Yabesa Village and trek through rice fields to
Khamsum Yueley Namgyal Chorten, perched high on a hill overlooking the
river. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a picturesque riverside before exploring the
Wangduephodrang Dzong. Travel back to Paro, enjoy a sightseeing tour
of Paro Valley. Visit the iconic Rinpung Dzong with its intricate wood work,
large beams slotted into each other and held together without nails. End off

Day 5 - 6 Paro
A scenic trek to the celebrated Taktshang (Tiger’s Nest) monastery located
on the face of a cliff. The trek is around two hours uphill but worth it for the
fantastic views. Spend the afternoon to rest or explore the local market. The
tour ends with a hotel/airport transfer on Day 6. (2B/1L/1D)
