On this Vietnam Cambodia tour, enjoy a breathtaking Halong Bay cruise and amazing Angkor Wat tour. In between, visit Vietnam’s capital city Hanoi and former imperial city of Hue, explore the ancient harbour town of Hoi An, the tranquil waterways of the Mekong Delta, and the vibrant Ho Chi Minh City.

Day 1-2 Hanoi

Arrive at Hanoi, you will be met and transferred to your hotel. The next day starts with a walking tour from Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum to his former home, the House of Stilts, and then a visit to Hanoi’s oldest structure, the One Pillar Pagoda. See the beautiful courtyard and gardens at the ancient Temple of Literature. Experience a one-hour cycle ride through the fascinating Old Quarter where ancient homes and temples are interspersed with traditional stores. Get your camera ready for many photo opportunities. Enjoy a traditional water puppet show and local speciality dinner - Cha ca La Vong, exquisitely grilled fish. (B/D)

Day 3 Halong Bay

Sit back and enjoy your first view of the northern countryside on the drive to Halong Bay - one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Unwind on this Vietnam holiday as you sail among thousands of limestone islands rising mystically from the water. Visit a fishing village, explore caves and grottos and swim or relax on the beach. Day 4 Hoi An

Continue your cruise and board a sampan boat to explore hidden caves and grottos. disembark and transfer to the Hanoi airport for a flight to the charming ancient town of Hoi An. (Brunch)

Day 5 Hoi An

In the morning, enjoy a guided walking tour of ancient merchants’ houses, a Hokkien temple, the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge and browse through the colourful riverside market. Sample a local speciality lunch. Afternoon is free time to explore on your own. (B/L)

Day 6 Ho Chi Minh City

Spend a free morning at Hoi An ancient town. Consider taking a short boat trip along the river or barter for some handmade clothes or relax by the swimming pool at the hotel. Take an afternoon flight to Ho Chi Minh City. (B)

Day 7 Mekong Delta

Explore the lush countryside of the Mekong Delta, the “rice bowl” of Vietnam. Cruising through the canals, rivers and backwaters, meet locals as you explore the villages and islands, you’ll learn about the daily lives of the local people. Taste exotic fruits along the way, sample a Mekong specialty lunch, walk the island’s trails, travel by sampan along the canals under the green canopy of water coconuts trees. (B/L)

Day 8 Ho Chi Minh City / Siem Reap

Take a morning walking tour to experience Saigon from the colonial to the modern era. There's the Notre Dame Cathedral, one of the city’s major landmarks, next to the cathedral stands the Saigon Post Office, a fine example of French architecture, stroll along the former Rue Catinat to the Hotel Continental – made famous by the ‘Quiet American’ novel and film, finally stop at Caravelle Hotel. This hotel and its bar were home to many foreign reporters and secret agents during the Vietnam War. Take an afternoon flight to Siem Reap, the gateway of Angkor Wat. (B)

Day 9 Angkor Wat

Get up early, take a tuk-tuk ride to Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world, and watch the sunrise over the amazing temples, visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom to see its four massive faces carved out of rock – each one looking towards different compass points, followed by Central Angkor Thom (Bayon, Phimeanakas, Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King), Afternoon visit the “Small Circuit” to see the fabulous Ta Prohm Temple, embraced by the roots of enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers Climb to the summit of Pre Rup for a spectacular view of the surrounding landscape and the sunset. Day 10-11 Angkor Wat

Morning visit Roluos Group Temples of Bakong, Preah Ko, Lolei to see the characteristics of architecture, decoration, materials and construction methods at the beginning of the Classic Period of Khmer art. Afternoon discovery the great lake "Tonle Sap" by a boat, observing life on the lake as you travel past floating fishing villages that have their own schools, shops, hospitals and even crocodile farms! Enjoy buffet dinner with APSARA show at local restaurant. The next day transfer to the airport for your return flight (2B)
