Day 1 - 2 Ho Chi Minh City

Arrive Ho Chi Minh City, transfer to your hotel. The next day explore the famous Cu Chi Tunnels, an amazing underground network of tunnels which stretches over hundreds of kilometres, and then experience Saigon from the colonial to the modern era. Visit War Remnants Museum, The Notre Dame Cathedral, the Saigon Post Office, a fine example of French architecture, from the former Rue Catinat to the Hotel Continental – famous from the ‘Quiet American’ novel and film, finally stop at the Caravelle Hotel, which was the home to many foreign reporters and secret agents during the Vietnam War. Head up to its rooftop bar to enjoy a panoramic view of the city. Sample the national dish - Pho beef noodle soup for your dinner. (B/D)

Day 3 Mekong Delta / Hoi An

Explore the lush countryside of the Mekong Delta, the “rice bowl” of Vietnam. Cruising through the maze of water ways, learn about the daily lives of the local people. Taste exotic fruits, sample a Mekong specialty lunch, walk the island’s trails and go on a sampan ride through some of the small creeks and canals, afternoon flight to Hoi An (B)

Day 4 Hoi An

Walking tour from the ancient Chinese merchants’ houses, a Hokkien Temple, to the 400-year-old Japanese Covered Bridge, see the mixture of Chinese and Japanese architectures as well as traditional cultural values. For your lunch, taste the delious local specality dish - Cau Lau, a combination of thick wheat noodles, roasted pork, bean sprouts and herbs in a thick gravy. Spend your free time to browse through the colourful riverside market and abundance of stylish boutiques, tailor shops and cafes. (B/L)

Day 5 Hoi An

Free time to explore on your won. You might like to hire a bike, relax at a cafe, join a cooking class, or buy some handmade clothes or optional tour of My Tho. (B)

Day 6 Hoi An / Hue

Take a scenic drive over the stunning Hai Van Pass to Hue - former imperial city, en route stop at the beautiful Marble Mountain to explore pagodas, caves and religious sanctuaries. For your dinner, enjoy a famous Hue dish - Com Hen, rice with boiled mussel, variety of herbs and vegetables.(B/D)

Day 7 Hue

Enjoy a traditional dragon boat cruise to the iconic Thien Mu Pagoda along the romantic Perfume River. Visit the impressive Imperial Citadel and royal tombs, experience a cycle ride along the tree lined streets.(B)

Day 8 Hue / Hanoi

Fly to Hanoi, enjoy a local speciality lunch - Cha ca La Vong, exquisitely grilled fish. See the beautiful courtyard and gardens at the ancient Temple of Literature. Visit the Museum of Ethnology to learn about the cultures of different ethnic groups in Vietnam and then explore the fascinating Old Quarter where ancient homes and temples are interspersed with traditional stores. Watch an ancient water puppet performance. (B/L)

Day 9 Halong Bay

Sit in a coach transfer to Halong Bay - one of the world’s greatest natural wonders. Sail among thousands of limestone islands rising mystically from the water. Explore caves and grottos, swim or relax on the beach. Enjoy a Tai Chi lesson or cooking class on board, Stay overnight on a traditional junk boat. (B/L/D)

Day 10 Halong Bay / Hanoi

Continually cruise, after a brunch on board, sit in a transfer back to Hanoi. (Brunch)

Day 11 Hanoi / Nanning / Guilin

Morning transfer to Lang Son, walk to Vietnamese border - Friendship Pass, cross the board to meet your Chinese Guide, and then drive to Nanning Train Station for a high speed train to Guilin. Transfer to the hotel.

Day 12 Longsheng Rice Terrace

Drive to the beautiful rural countryside - Longsheng, walk up the mountain to see the incredible view of rice terraces, visit an ancient Zhuang Minority Village to see traditional stilted houses, wander through stone pathways and bridges. Try local speciality rice noodle soup for your lunch. (B/L)

Day 13 Li River Cruise

Take a spectacular Li River cruise, passing bizarre-shaped mountains, villages and water buffaloes and fishing cormorants. Disembark at the traditional country town of Yangshuo, where you relax among stunning rural scenery of Yangshuo. (B/L)

Day 14 Yangshou

Morning own leisure time, afternoon visit the Palace of Natural Art - Reed Flute Cave, where you will be surprised by colourful lights to highlight the stalactites inside the caves, drive passed the beautiful landmark - Elephant Trunk Hill. (B)

Day 15 Guilin / Xian

After a flight to Xian, visit one of famous world's wonders - Terracotta Warriors and Horses, where you will find 7000 individually crafted clay soldiers standing on the guard. Taste authentic a local specialty dumpling dinner before the extraordinary Tang Dynasty Culture show.(B/D)

Day 16 Xian / Beijing

Morning stroll (optional bicyle ride) on the original City Wall, one of the largest ancient military defensive systems in the world. See the intricately carved murals and feel the Buddhists chanting at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Enjoy Asia's largest musical water fountain at 12:00am. Experience a high speed train to Beijing.

Day 17 Beijing

Visit the Temple of Heaven, mingle with locals at its neighbouring park,walk through Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest square to China’s most glorious imperial palace - the Forbidden City for a visit. Sample the famous Peking duck dinner. (B/D)

Day 18 Great Wall

Walk the Great Wall of China at Mutianyu section! Take a cable car up to one of the many watchtowers to view the winding wall as it rised and falls over mountains into the distance, walk your way down. Photo stop at the Olympic site to see China's mordern architetures. (B)

Day 19 - 20 Beijing

Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the zigzag alleyways called Hutong to catch a glimpse into traditional Beijing life. Head off to the former imperial summer resort - the Summer Palace to see the lavishly decorated temples, halls, courts, and the Long Corridor, a short Dragon boat ride. Next day transfer to the airport for your flight. (B2)
