Day 1 -2 Beijing, Wednesday 29–30 December 2015

Arrive Beijing, transfer to the hotel. Next day visit the Temple of Heaven, mingle with locals at its neighbouring park. Walk lesiurely through Tiananmen Square, the world’s largest square, to the Forbidden City for a visit to China’s most glorious imperial palace. Enjoy a rickshaw ride through the zigzag alleyways called Hutong to catch a glimpse into traditional Beijing life. (B)

Day 3 Great Wall of China, Thursday 31 December 2015

Walk the Great Wall of China on the last day of 2015 at Mutianyu section, take a cable car up to one of the many watchtowers to view the winding wall as it rises and falls over mountains into the distance walk your way down. Photo stop at the Olympic site to see China's modern architectures. Enjoy a special dinner to celebrate the New Year's Eve. (B/D)

Day 4 Beijing / Pingyao Friday 1 January 2016

Visit the former imperial summer resort - the Summer Palace to see the lavishly decorated temples, halls, courts, and the Long Corridor before a high speed train to the ancient city of Pingyao, it was China’s financial centre in the 19th and early 20th centuries. Special New year dinner. (B/D)

Day 5 Pingyao , Saturday 2 January 2016

Step back in time as you behold the imperial Chinese fortress, watchtowers, intimidating wooden gates and sturdy walls. Stroll from Ming Street to the ancient city tower, visit the Armed Escort Company Museum and the Temple of the City God. Visit the Qiao Family Courtyard House – a masterpiece of residential architecture in ancient China. Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere with red lantern lights at the night. (B)

Day 6 Pingyao / Xian, Sunday 3 January 2016

High speed train to Xian, the home of Terracotta Warriors. See the intricately carved murals and feel the Buddhists chanting at the Big Wild Goose Pagoda.Taste a local specialty dumpling dinner before enjoying musical water fountains at the square of the Wild Goose Pagoda. (B/D)

Day 7 Xian, Monday 4 January 2016

Today visit the historically significant and amazing Terracotta Warriors - where 7000 individually crafted clay soldiers stand on guard. Stroll (or even a bike ride!) on the original City Wall, the largest ancient military defensive system in the world. Explore the Old Muslim Quarter - a home to a large Chinese Muslim population, feel the bustling atmosphere mixing with Middle Eastern influences. Fly to Harbin (B)

Day 8 Harbin, Tuesday 5 January 2016

Visit Sun Island Park for the Harbin Ice Festival to see various awesome snow sculptures, built by sculptors from all over world to present their culture and imagination. Watch winter swimming performances. See the mix of European architectures and local traditional buildings, feel the strong Russian influnce at Central Street, where bargain shopping for Russian and Chinese products. This evening see the highlight of the Harbin Ice Festival - Ice and Snow World, stroll through this winter wonderland, marvel at the magnificent exquisitely-detailed, gigantic ice sculptures. View fabulous creations of notable buildings and monuments of different architectural types and styles, figures of animals, people, mythical creatures, ice slides and lanterns. (B)

Day 9 - 10 Harbin, Wednesday 6 – Thursday 7 January 2016

Spend your own free day to enjoy winter activities, such as ice sloping, ice boating, ice skating. Or take optional tour fo Siberian Tiger Park. The next day transfer to the airport (2B)
