7 Days: Chengdu l Leshan l Mt. Emei l Jiuzhaigou National Park

Sichuan is famed for its outstanding natural beauty, fiery cuisine and World's only Panda research and breeding centre. On this tour, closely view adorable Pandas in Chengdu. Visit world heritaged listed Mt. Emai and 71m high giant Buddha statue, discover the striking natural scenery at Jiuzhaigou Scenic Reserve.

Day 1 Chengdu

Chengdu is the captial city of Sichuan province, a home town of Pandas. 80% of wild pandas are located in Sichuan. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to your hotel.

Day 2 Leshan Giant Buddha

Today drive to 71m high Giant Buddha which is carved into the mountain’s red sandstone mountain, overlooking the Ming River. Stand at its huge 8m feet that you can really appreciate the scale of one of the world’s largest Buddha. Hop on a river cruise to enjoy a panoramic view of the Buddha from the river. Then drive to the ancient Baoguo Monastery to see its three treasures including a 2.4-meter-high porcelain Buddha, a 25-ton bronze bell, and an exquisite Huanyan bronze tower carved with 4,700 tiny Buddha statues. Stay overnight at the foot of Mt. Emei. (B)

Day 3 Mt. Emei

Mt. Emei is a World Heritage listed by UNESCO and one of most famous Buddhism mountains in China. You will first take a sightseeing bus to Leidongping, and then walk to Jieyin Palace to ride a cable car to the Golden Summit where you can have a terrific panoramic view of the mountain’s natural beauty. Then you will tour the Wannian Temple to gain an insight of Buddhism perspectives. Return to Chengdu. (B)

Day 4 Giant Panda

Spend your happy time at the world’s only Giant Panda Breeding and Research Base to watch pandas playing, climbing, eating and interacting with each other, also learn more about these amazing endangered animals. Stroll in lively People’s Park, mingle with locals at ancient residential Kuanzai Street, walk along the street, or sit down for tea, or eat local snacks, soak up hustling and bustling atmosphere. Sample a local “hot pot” dinner (B/D)

Day 5 Jiuzhaigou

After a short flight to Jiuzhaigou, visit the natural wonder of Huanglong to see beautiful turquoise terraced pools with golden limestone shining through the cascading water, and lush evergreen forests, return cable car to the mountain. Check in hotel in Jiuzhaigou. (B)

Day 6 Jiuzhaigou

Discover stunning landscape of crystal clear blue, green and turquoise-coloured lakes, evergreen forests and snow-capped mountains, waterfalls and valleys. No private cars are allowed in this National Park so you will ride on hop on and off buses to see Jiuzhaigou’s most beautiful highlights. Dinner is arranged at the hotel. (B/D)

Day 7 Depart Jiuzhaigou

Spend your leisure time, before transfer to the airport for your onward flight. (B) You may wish fly to Chongqing to board on the Yangtze River cruise, or fly to Shanghai for a contracting experience of Old and New China, or fly to Xian to see Terrecotta Warriors, or fly to Beijing to walk the Great Wall, or fly to Guilin to discover the striking scenary of karst limestone landscape.
